THE FIRST FIFTY YEARS 1956-2006 [ Music Ministry ] [ Legacies and Contributions ] The many social ministries of Twinbrook Baptist Church have made significant differences in the lives of thousands around the world. And fifty years from its initial charge, the fellowship continues its active concern for the elderly, the hungry, and America's recent arrivals - to name but a few local groups now receiving attention. On a different level, Twinbrook Baptist Church is pleased that from its own children has come an ordained minister, the Reverend Sharon Harris-Ewing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David John Harris, and a Baptist missionary, Dr. Amy Phifer Freese, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth O. Phifer. Indeed God has blessed Twinbrook Baptist Church with a rich history. We take this moment to give thanks and celebrate the past as we anticipate using our talents in meeting the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century.
